How it works
The satmodem connects your dish to your PC or router.
Your dish connects you to the satellite.
The satellite then connects you to the internet back on Earth
Broadband Anywhere. No Phone Line Required.
As long as you are within our service footprints and have somewhere to install our dish with a clear view of the southern sky you can get our broadband service. Our service is compatible with any computer that has a network connection and by using a router you can even share the service with multiple computers.
We use SES, Europe's leading provider of satellite services, to deliver SBBS (SES Broadband Service) via SES's ASTRA satellites - so not only can you experience the same reliability as Sky TV but you can also receive Sky or Freesat from the same dish. In fact, with our VOIP option you can even use a UK VOIP service over the satellite connection.
Unique ValuePlus Packages
Our unique ValuePlus packages deliver an unbeatable combination of speed and "always-on"
- ValuePlus (V+) packages give a fixed monthly data traffic amount for download and upload. That's the "Value"
- After the fixed amount is consumed, you stay online at the follow-on speed of up to 256kbps. That's the "Plus"
- Add extra data with FreeZone & Reset
- Add satellite VOIP channel for selected VOIP telephony providers
- Choose a package
Flexible installation options: get a pro or DIY.
There's a national professional installation service or you can use your own installer or even DIY. You can choose any of these options right up until you checkout or just call us for advice.
For the national service a “standard” installation covers a cable run of no more than 30m from the dish to the satmodem and installing the dish on a south-facing wall without needing special access requirements, no higher than first storey and only needing one wall to be drilled. There may be extra costs if your location is difficult to get to or not on the mainland.
If your location may be difficult or you know it's non-standard please select a non-standard install when ordering. The cost will be quoted directly to you by the installer before work starts and you then pay the installer directly.
If you have an installer you have used in the past and would like for him or her to do it then you can choose 'No Installation' when ordering. You can also use our Find a Dealer tool to contact an installer yourself.
Finally, if you are technically minded you can opt to install the equipment yourself. We have a "How to Install" video and online guide available. Please note that we do not provide telephone support for the installation process so if this is something you are not comfortable with then we recommend you go with a professional installation.
